The award-winning team included seven IBC employees who collaborated with colleagues from several DOI bureaus along with the Department’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Civil Rights to plan and host the 8th Ally Engagement & Enrichment Week. The Ally Engagement & Enrichment Week is an annual event, offering relevant and impactful programming that creates an inclusive culture where employees can listen more critically, have more thoughtful dialog, stand up for one another, and empower individuals to engage in respectful yet challenging conversations.

The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in the Stewart Lee Udall Building Yates Auditorium in Washington, DC. The Department of the Interior Convocation Honor Award is the most prestigious recognition that can be granted to an employee for career accomplishments, exceptional support of the Department’s mission, heroism, safety, commitment to diversity & inclusion, and environmental achievement.
